FEBRUARY 2012- Pope Benedict XVI's Monthly Intentions: General: That all peoples may have access to water and other resources needed for daily life. Missionary: That the Lord may sustain the efforts of health workers assisting the sick and elderly in the world's poorest regions. INTERCESSORY PRAYERS: Response: Lord, hear our prayer. For an end to the violence and poverty that displaces so many people from their homes and homelands, we pray to the Lord. For our parish community, that we may continue to serve those without homes and resources, and that we speak out for a just immigration reform and against human trafficking, we pray to the Lord. For our leaders, that they may implement policies that allow for safe migration, just migrant working conditions and prompt reunion within family members, we pray to the Lord. For migrants, refugees and victims of slavery and exploitation in our midst: that they may find hope in our concern for justice, and feel the warmth of our love; we pray to the Lord. For employers and corporations, that they choose the dignity and worth of each human person over profit and power, we pray to the Lord. For unaccompanied migrant children, that they may be protected from all harm and reunited with loving families, we pray to the Lord. |
